Rush, rush, busy, busy: Great week

Fattycrop293What a busy, crazy-good week at Camp Movie Memories last week.

Tuesday: "A Salute to the Great War Movies" at The Preston of the Park Cities.

Thursday: "'Casablanca' -- Hollywood's Classic Happy Accident" at the Southwest Women's Club meeting in Duncanville with Suellen offering a great assist (resulting in a 5-star review on Thumbtack.com).

Friday: "Hollywood's Hot Movie Scandals" before a large, enthusiastic crowd at the Canyon Creek North Garden Club in Plano.

Saturday:  I got word Friday that Gary Kent, my longtime friend and talented stuntman, actor, director, and writer would be in Dallas Saturday along with Joe O'Connell to speak to the press about "Danger God," the stunning documentary about Gary that O'Connell directed.

Dropping, as they say, Tuesday (Sept. 17) on DVD and already available for rental or purchase on Amazon Prime, "Danger God" is a from-the-heart, gut and soul account of Gary's early days as a stuntmen, his encounter with Charles Manson, his long career and his challenging personal life.

Gary looks great.  As a matter of fact, he's still working at 86.  It was great to see Gary and Joe.   Those of you with sharp eyes might notice that my book,  "Did I Write That Out Loud? -- We Might As Well Laugh, It's Only Life" is on the table in front of Gary.

I couldn't resist the opportune moment to present Gary and Joe with signed copies of my book.  In case you have a copy of "Did I Write That Out Loud?" the chapter I wrote about an earlier visit Gary and Joe made to Dallas is the chapter titled "Movie-Making Memories & More" on Page 77.

Many thanks to everyone involved in a delightfully busy week. And to those curious, interested or, my favorite, ready to go for a Movie Memories presentation or stand-up comedy, give us a call at 972-596-9157.
